Australia win toss, elect to bat - 24.02.2008

SYDNEY: Australia won the toss and elected to bat in the cricket tri-series one-day international against India here on Sunday.

India chose to strengthen their batting and drafted in opener Virender Sehwag in place of all-rounder Praveen Kumar.

The other change for the visitors was inclusion of pacer S Sreesanth in place of Munaf Patel.

Australia too has made a change with speedster Brett Lee coming in place of Mitchell Johnson.

Robin Uthappa, Irfan Pathan, Harbhajan Singh, Ishant Sharma and S Sreesanth.

Australia: Matthew Hayden, Adam Gilchrist, Ricky Ponting (c), Michael Clarke, Mike Hussey, Andrew Symonds,
James Hopes, Brad Hogg, Brett Lee, Stuart Clark and Nathan Bracken.

Umpires: Tony Hill (NZ) and Daryl Harper (Aus).
